My Approach to Counseling
I believe impactful counseling is about more than managing symptoms. It is about understanding yourself more deeply, making sense of what you have been through, and developing new ways of responding to the challenges in front of you.
My approach is grounded in my graduate training in clinical mental health counseling and informed by psychology, neuroscience, and evidence-based therapeutic practices. I also draw from my background in wellness, meditation, and integrative approaches to well-being.
I don't believe you need to fit into a particular approach for therapy to work.
Our work should fit you.

How We Will Work Together:
I see counseling as a collaborative process.
You know yourself and your life better than anyone. My role is not to tell you what you should think, feel, or do. It's to help you slow down, become curious about what is happening, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your patterns.
Depending on your needs and goals, our work may involve exploring:
-
Thoughts and beliefs that influence how you see yourself
-
Emotional patterns and reactions
-
Anxiety, overthinking, and overwhelm
-
Perfectionism, people-pleasing, and self-criticism
-
Relationship patterns and boundaries
-
Confidence, identity, and self-trust
-
Life transitions and difficult decisions
-
Career uncertainty and personal growth
-
Experiences from the past that continue to influence the present
We'll work at a pace that feels appropriate for you while developing practical tools and insights you can carry into your everyday life.
My Clinical Approach
Mental Health
My clinical training has given me experience with a range of therapeutic approaches, including Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Narrative, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Motivational Interviewing, and other integrative and trauma-informed approaches.
Rather than following one model with every client, I consider what you're experiencing, what you're hoping to change, and what may be most helpful for you. Some clients may benefit from practical tools and strategies, while others may need more space to explore their emotions, relationships, experiences, or the beliefs they've developed about themselves.
I believe therapy should feel both supportive and purposeful. There should be room to talk, reflect, and make sense of what you're experiencing, while also giving you tools and opportunities to create change outside of our sessions.
Wellness Counseling
Wellness counseling is a separate offering for individuals who are not seeking treatment for a mental health disorder, but are looking to invest in their personal growth and overall well-being.
These sessions are for those who want to better understand themselves, gain clarity around what they want, and create a life that feels more aligned with who they are and where they want to go. We may explore confidence, self-worth, body image, relationships, life transitions, personal goals, values, or areas of life that feel ready for growth and change.
This work is about moving beyond simply getting by and intentionally creating a life that feels more authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with you.
ITA Energy Medicine
I am also trained as an Integrated Therapeutic Alignments (ITA) Energy Medicine Practitioner.
ITA is an Eastern holistic modality informed by principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and takes into account the whole person: mind, body, and energy.
ITA sessions are designed for individuals interested in exploring an integrative approach to personal growth, self-exploration, and overall well-being.
A 60-minute ITA session includes:
-
Coaching and reflective conversation
-
An ITA energy alignment
-
Personalized practices or “homecare” to support continued reflection and growth.
Please Note: Wellness Counseling sessions and ITA Alignments are intended to complement, rather than replace, mental health treatment or medical care.
Is This Work Right for You?
You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from counseling. You may simply feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or ready to understand yourself in a deeper way.
Whether you're working through anxiety, perfectionism, relationships, confidence, a life transition, or simply trying to figure out what comes next, we can start with where you are.
